A Crop of Grace

My friend bought a vineyard on a fertile field on the outskirts of the city where he lived. He dug and cleared the field and planted the best grapevines there. He built his office right in the middle so he could have a good view of the yard and deployed a stakeout to watch for little foxes that could ruin the vines. He built a winery and cut the press into the stone to produce traditional vintage. He was eager for the harvest, he could hardly wait to taste the good juicy grapes that would grow, he staked, nurtured and pruned, but when it cropped there were only rotten ones. It broke his heart, he had made quite substantial investment, with hard work, employing the right combination of skills and knowledge, loving, nurturing, ensuring the field was properly irrigated and fertile, yet all he got were rotten and sour grapes.
..."what more could I do for my vineyard? I did everything I could. I hoped for good grapes to grow, but there were only rotten ones. Why did this happen?"
Isaiah 5:4

The earth and everything on it belong to the Lord. The world and all its people belong to him - Psalms 24:1

The vineyard that belongs to the Lord All
-Powerful, is the earth, the grapevine, the world and people he loves.
He hoped for justice, but there was only killing. He hoped for fairness, but there were only cries from people being treated badly -Isaiah 5:7b...
.....Yet He begins again.... this time he sends his son, the one and only, to restore the vine for himself.
"God loved the world so much that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him would not be lost but have eternal life. God sent his Son into the world. He did not send him to judge the world guilty, but to save the world through him".
 John 3:16‭-‬17 ERV.
His love for the vines wouldnt let go. It  compells him to give some more, to tend, and nurture some more, perhaps... It's love  that lingers, beckons, longs and yearns but  waits patiently for acceptance. I feel it in his nearness, it draws my soul, away from the foxes that gnarl and gnaw leaving dregs of pain and shame, away from hate and all its vices. He offers you this love, would you draw near.  He understands the pain of loss,  He sees your guilt and shame, He offers forgiveness and grace,  accept and receive grace to bloom...and grow... and love... and lead with peace.
