FIGHT WITH WORDS

Not just any word, but GOD'S WORD!.

"For the word of God is living and active and full of power [making it operative, energizing, and effective]. It is sharper than any two-edged sword, penetrating as far as the division of the soul and spirit [the completeness of a person], and of both joints and marrow [the deepest parts of our nature], exposing and judging the very thoughts and intentions of the heart".
Hebrews 4:12 AMP

In my last post I shared a bit about fighting for the promises of God in our lives and I promised to share some of my personal affirmations and declaration from the bible - the Word of God. Before I get to that I would like to talk a bit about the Importance of declaring God's word over our lives.

1. IT IS BACKED BY GOD'S  AUTHORITY

God has given us authority by His word to bring his will to bare on earth, with these words:

"Look, I have given you authority over all the power of the enemy, and you can walk among snakes and scorpions and crush them. Nothing will injure you".
Luke 10:19 NLT

"I assure you and most solemnly say to you, whatever you bind [forbid, declare to be improper and unlawful] on earth shall have [already] been bound in heaven, and whatever you loose [permit, declare lawful] on earth shall have [already] been loosed in heaven".
Matthew 18:18 AMP

2. IT HAS LIFE GIVING POWER

The bible is replete with testimonies and demonstrations of the power in the word. Jesus declares, ... "the words that I speak to you, are spirit and they are life" John 6:63.
In Psalm 119, the longest eulogy of God's word ever recorded, King David testifies of his total dependence on the word, and how it became his delight and sustainance through all his troubles, he says this in verse 92... "because your words are my deepest delight, I didn’t give up when all else was lost" Psalm 119:92 TPT.
George Muler describes how he relied on God's word for provision in the early 19th century when he managed an orphanage with over a thousand children without a structured financial support. He says,
"the first thing I did was to begin to meditate on the Word of God; searching every verse, to get blessing out of it; not for the sake of the public ministry of the Word; not for the sake of preaching on what I had meditated upon; but for the sake of obtaining food for my own soul. The result I have found to be almost invariably this, that after a very few minutes my soul has been led to confession, or to thanksgiving, or to intercession, or to supplication; so that though I did not give myself to prayer, but to meditation, yet it turned almost immediately into prayer".
I can't begin to describe the many feats of God's word in the bible, I mean just look around, everything you see was created by the word of God. God's word creates, sustains and infuses strength in us to handle life's circumstances when we meditate on and declare it in prayer.

3. IT IS BOTH A WEAPON AND DEFENCE

The word of God is the sword of the Spirit by which we decree and establish the will of God upon the earth and in our lives.
Apostle Paul instructing believers to use the word as a spirirual sword, an armour of deffence and offence, says....
" Embrace the power of salvation’s full deliverance, like a helmet to protect your thoughts from lies . And take the mighty razor-sharp Spirit-sword of the spoken Word of God. Pray passionately in the Spirit, as you constantly intercede with every form of prayer at all times. Pray the blessings of God upon all his believers -Ephesians 6:17‭-‬18 TPT.
It is a weapon by which we fight, to pull down strongholds and every negativity that rises up against us, to oppress or intimidate and deny us of the benefits of a sound mind, which Christ obtained for us, by His gift of salvation.

I have gone into this much detail to show that, it is our responsibility and benefit to search the bible,  find his word and promises to us for every situation, confess and declare it over our lives, over our circumstances and the world around us.

Now to begin our WORD declaration...

BLESSING

The Bible says,..."blessed is the man who fears the Lord, Who delights greatly in His commandments. His descendants will be mighty on earth; The generation of the upright will be blessed. Wealth and riches will be in his house, Psalm 112: 2 -3.

Declare...
I am Blessed because the Lord is my great delight and reverence, my children will be mighty on earth, my generation is Blessed. Health, wealth and riches abound in my house.

I am Blessed in the city and in the field. I am Blessed in the fruit of my body, the fruit of my labour and the fruit of my mind, the work of my hands are Blessed. I am Blessed in my going out and in my coming in.. (Deuteronomy 28:2-4)

IDENTITY

"I am chosen, accepted, and adopted into God's family" (Ephesians 1:11-12)

GOD CHOSE ME! I am not an accident; I am not a mistake. Even before the world began, God desired to have me in His family. Regardless of where I am from or what I have done, because of Jesus, I am a child of God!

“My old identity has been crucified with Christ. My new life is empowered by my faith in Christ Jesus who loves me so much that he gave himself for me. I have a full life because Christ  dispenses his life into mine!
Galatians 2:20

PROSPERITY

Because I am in covenant with God I am destined and programmed to succeed and excel (God's covenant with us is a covenant of supernatural increase)

May the Lord give you increase more and more, You and your children. (Psalms 115:14 NKJV)

Declare...
- I have a surplus of prosperity,  through the fruit of my body, of my work - business/career, and of my ministry.
-The Lord shall open to me His good treasury, the heavens, to give rain on my land in its season and to bless all the work of my hands.
-I shall lend to many nations, but I shall not borrow.
-The Lord shall make me the head, and not the tail; and I shall be above only, and I shall not be beneath, because I heed the commandments of the Lord my God.  (Deuteronomy 28:6-13)

-God will provide for me what I desire because He is my utmost delight and pleasure Ps 37:4

WISDOM

God gave Solomon wisdom—the deepest of understanding and the largest of hearts. There was nothing beyond him, nothing he couldn’t handle (1st King 4:29).

Declare...
-The Lord gives me wisdom as to how to lead my life, do my work, manage my home/ministry, relationships, effectively.

“I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will guide you with My eye.”

‭‭Psalms‬ ‭32:8‬ NKJV

With this scripture, we can also pray this way...

Teach me your ways so that I may know how to conduct my affairs in the most discerning, expeditious and prudent way.

STRENGTH

-I can do all things I set my heart on, through Christ who enables me. Phil 4:13.

- God will continually revitalize me, implanting within me the passion to do what pleases him.
Philippians 2:13 tpt

Prov 12:24 " the hand of the diligent shall bear rule.
Declare...
-I am diligent, therefore I rule. I do my work with diligence and in the spirit of excellence.
My home, career, and ministry function smoothly and efficiently.

HEALING

who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness— by whose stripes you were healed. (I Peter 2:24 NKJV)

Jesus was wounded, bruised and died for me and by his wounds I am healed. I am healed in my body, in my mind and heart.

-Bible says, "cursed is every one that hangs on a tree...", by His crucifixion, I am free from every curse of the law, sin, sickness and diseases. Jesus has wiped off every handwriting and accusations against me,  so I am free to live a healthy and prosperous life.

No weapon [sickness is a weapon of the enemy] formed against me shall prosper...This is my heritage as a servant of the Lord...
The Son of righteousness is risen, he comes to me with healing in his wings.

The bible is filled with God's blessings and precious promises, dive in and begin to declare these pearls of power and truth over your life and family.
Our God has not left us without help, but he's given us all things with victory in Christ Jesus.

    1. Yes indeed it is. To think that God has empowered us by his word. My hearts Prayer is that I would always have the strength to stand on his word no matter the storm. But again, He supplies the strength, so ultimately, everything hinges on us holding on to him.
