The Gift of Falling

"WE FALL DOWN BUT WE GET UP
WE FALL DOWN BUT WE GET UP
I FELL DOWN BUT I GOT UP
AND I FOUND OUT -
A SAINT IS A SINNER WHO FALLS DOWN, BUT DOESN'T STAY DOWN..."
                                  Donnie McClurkin

I have fallen flat on my face many times, but I got up. Been knocked down, got the wind smacked right out of me, but I got up. As I write, I am in a process of getting back up, again. Sometimes I want just to stay under the covers and never show my face again, but, I get up, strap on my warrior boots and lift my chin towards heaven. Why?
I realise I am on a journey of purpose propelled by His promises and dreams in my heart. It may not appear so in the trial and pain, but I am being transformed, every fall and rising, along the way, adds a layer of wisdom, strength and character formed by His grace and careful Hands. I metamorphose and become that vessel fit for His specific use.

"...dont you know that what you sow in the ground doesn’t germinate unless it dies? But when it dies, God gives it a new form, a body to fulfill his purpose, and he sees to it that each seed gets a new body of its own and becomes the plant he designed it to be."
            1 Corinthians 15:36‭, ‬38 TPT

Life is a journey, a marathon, not a sprint or a dash to the finish line. It is a long haul, both in time, and in eternity - what some call the after life. I have heard runners refer to the  marathon as a brutal race, yet lots of people want to conquer it's brutality.  Not all runners, make it to the finish line, some faint and fall out but the few who do make it to the finish, do so albeit the falling and fainting along the way. They fall and get up. They fall, get up, catch their breathe and go on.  Every determined step forward breeds an enduring spirit, a conquering spirit, a pledge to victory.

"... what you sow in the ground doesn’t germinate unless it dies. But when it dies, God gives it a new form, a body to fulfill his purpose, and he sees to it that each seed gets a new body of its own and becomes the plant he designed it to be."
   1 Corinthians 15:36‭, ‬38 TPT (emphasis mine)

Listen (again), and I will tell you a divine mystery: not all of us will die, but we will all be transformed.
1 Corinthians 15:51 TPT.

This hope keeps us in progress, entrusting our lives in His care and trusting the process, though falling and fainting we believe in the faithfulness of Him who has promised.
You can get back up again!
